Netflix is Teasing Us With This "Squid Game" Season 2 Post

It's not much, but we're living for it.
Stop what you're doing and cue the "Pink Soldiers" theme song because Squid Game is back for a "whole new round".

After everyone in the world begged for it, it was confirmed back in November last year that we'd be getting a follow-up season, but we didn't know much other than that it was locked in.
No production dates, not many details about the plot, and no idea when we would be able to binge watch every second of it (like we all did with season one, let's be real).
To be honest, we still don't know much more than that, but Netflix did just drop a little teaser on social media to tide us over for the time being.
Boy, has it gotten us geared up:

According to director, Hwang Dong-hyuk, the second season will see the return of everyone's fave main character, Gi-hun as well as the mysterious Front Man.
We can also expect to be introduced to Young-hee’s boyfriend, Cheol-su (yep, the big killer animatronic doll has a BF) and "the man in the suit with ddakji might be back".
We don't know what he wants, but we will definitely be tuning in to find out.
In case you need a reminder (or you've been living under a rock), Squid Game is a South Korean series that tells the grim story of 456 indebted people voluntarily entering a survival game in the hopes of winning a massive cash prize. But only one will make it out alive.
It took the world by storm last year as Netflix's biggest ever series launch, shocking but also captivating audiences with its sinister and extremely violent plotline.
A lot has changed for the streaming service since then. In April, Netflix reported their first drop in subscribers in a decade, which led to staff lay-offs and budget cuts, and announced they'd be cracking down on password sharing.
But that won't stop Squid Game taking over our lives yet again when it hits the small screen, although that could be a year or two away.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, Hwang said he could see the next season of Squid Game coming out by the end of 2023 or perhaps 2024.
