‘Heartbreak High’ Has Been Renewed For A Second Season

This is some bloody good news.

After we all fell in love with Netflix’s reboot of Heartbreak High, it’s been officially confirmed that Netflix is renewing the series for a second season.

The internet has gotten around the new series in a big way, launching it to Netflix’s Top 10 for weeks and generating billions of views on social media.

Netflix announced the renewal this morning on Twitter, and fans everywhere are pumped.

The show is firmly Australian, but it’s had huge success both here and overseas.

Heartbreak High reached Netflix’s top 10 in 43 countries and has been watched for more than 42 million hours, as well as picking up critical acclaim.

Even the show’s stars took to social media to express their excitement, including Chloe Hayden (Quinni) and Gemma Chua-Tran (Sasha).

The fans are just as excited, taking to Twitter to celebrate the announcement.

We don’t know much about the new series just yet, but we can probably assume most of the cast will return.

Filming is set to begin soon in Sydney.

With so many questions still lingering from the first season finale, we are absolutely keen to see this new season.

In case you missed it, Student Edge sat down with Thomas Weatherall, who played Malakai, and Will McDonald, who played Ca$h, ahead of the series premiere – see the full chat below.
