Get Ya Votes In, Cause the Nominees for the 2023 Logie Awards Are Out

Time to decide who’s who in Aussie TV Royalty.

TV Enthusiasts across Australia – get ready because the nominees for the 2023 TV Week Logie Awards are out.

It’s shaping up to be a good year for the awards, with a massive list of talent up for some big awards.

Every year the focus is on the top prize, the Gold Logie for Most Popular Personality on Australian Television.

This year, it’s a stacked category, with Hamish Blake, Julia Morris, Leigh Sales, Mark Coles Smith, Osher Günsberg, Shaun Micallef and Sonia Kruger all vying for the coveted Gold Logie.

All eyes will also be on the Bert Newton Award for Most Popular Presenter.

ABC fan favourite and mustache king Tony Armstrong has netted a nomination for A Dog’s World with Tony Armstrong, alongside everyone’s favourite dad, Hamish Blake for Lego Masters Australia.

Also nominated for the award are Aussie TV stalwarts Julia Morris, Shaun Micallef, Scott Cam, and Sonia Kruger.

But for us at Student Edge, our eyes are always gonna be on the Graham Kennedy Award for Most Popular New Talent.

There’s some real competition in this category, with Amy Shark (Australian Idol), Flex Mami (Love Island Australia), Kween Kong (RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under) and Lilliana Bowrey (Surviving Summer) all deserving an award.

But, both Ayesha Madon and Chloe Hayden have been nominated for their performances on Heartbreak High, portraying Amerie and Quinni respectively.

Heartbreak High has smashed the nominations this year, as it’s also picked up a nomination for Most Popular Drama Series, Miniseries or Telemovie.

What’s more, Thomas Weatherall, who played the love-interest Malakai, has earned a nomination for the Silver Logie for Most Outstanding Supporting Actor.

Ahead of the show’s release last year, we interviewed Thomas and his co-star Will McDonald, so be sure to check it out below.

There’s a long list of nominees, but we’re also on the lookout for Milly Alcock, who’s been nominated for Most Oustanding Actress for Upright.

You can head to the TV Week Logie Awards website to check out the full list of nominees and to get your votes in.

We’re manifesting a Heartbreak High clean sweep.

The Logies will air on Channel 7 on July 30, live from Sydney.
