Gaze Upon NPH As Count Olaf In Netflix's "A Series Of Unfortunate Events" Trailer

Netflix has deigned to offer us a first glimpse at Neil Patrick Harris in action as Count Olaf in Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events.

Anyone familiar with the 2004 film of the same name will recognise that Harris’ Olaf looks an awful lot like Jim Carrey’s big screen version of the character.

Of course, Carrey is dealing with all sorts of unpleasantness at the moment, so we’ll happily take NPH’s iteration instead.

The books, film and now Netflix show tell the story of the Baudelaire orphans Violet, Klaus and Sunny, and their ongoing battle with greedy/straight-up-murderous guardian Count Olaf.

Check out the first proper teaser below. Barney Stinson now seems like little more than a faint memory.
