More Than A Billion People Now Use Facebook Every Day

You know what’s cooler than a robust quarterly report? A very robust quarterly report. (Is that how the quote goes?)

CEO Mark Zuckerberg has much to boast about in Facebook’s latest quarterly earnings release, pointing towards the 1 billion active users that are now turning to his social media platform on a daily basis.

(His frenemies at Twitter, meanwhile, sob their little ‘Like’ hearts out over the fact they’ve had zero growth in the United States for two consecutive quarters.)

According to Mashable, Facebook saw a 14 per cent increase in monthly active users from the previous quarter. There are now 1.55 billion peeps using Facebook each month.

Also impressive: 1.39 billion monthly active users access Facebook via their mobiles. Ad revenue from mobiles makes up approximately 78 per cent of Facebook’s overall advertising revenue.

Facebook also enjoys 8 billion video views each day.
