Will the Brown Sugar Milk Tea McFlurry Come to Aussie McDonald’s?

Please Macca’s gods, bring it to us.

Say RIP to your bank account 'cos rumours about McDonald’s dropping a brown sugar milk tea soft-serve flavour are starting to gain speed around Australia.

More than a few Aussies have been targeted with Facebook ads from Micky D’s about their upcoming brown sugar milk tea McFlurries and sundaes.

OMG MACS GOT BROWN SUGAR MILK TEA SUNDAE AND MCFLURRY 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤

According to the ads, the new creamy delight is classic Macca’s soft-serve meets aromatic brown sugar milk tea, with the fast-food chain recommending fans to mix it up with some Oreo crumbs in a McFlurry or get it in a sundae with some hot fudge.

Better be safe and get one of each.

The real question though is: will the new soft-serve flavour be available in Australia?

After undertaking some investigative journalism, I’ve discovered that a week ago McDonald’s launched this new soft-serve in Singapore.

That explains where the promotional imaging comes from, but not why the ads were being seen by dessert loving Australians desperate for a sugar fix.

Maybe the careless marketing team at the McDonald’s Singapore Head Office accidentally ticked the Australia box instead, but we can’t be sure.

My mumma didn’t raise no quitter, so I rang the media department for McDonald’s Australia where I was transferred to their promotions department. After sitting on hold with some music that was a real bop, my phone line disconnected and the trail went cold.

My last resort was emailing them, but our friends at McDonald's responded with some bad news.

"It looks delicious, but there are no plans to introduce it in Australia at this stage," McDonald's Corporate Communications Manager said.

Sorry to dissapoint fam. Let's keep our fingers crossed that it's on the way.
