Maisie Williams Skipped Her School’s Pig Farm Excursion to Audition for "Game of Thrones"

Any day you have a school excursion is like an oasis in the desert: sweet relief.

But Maisie Williams—aka Arya Stark—once did the unthinkable, skipping out on a field trip to a pig farm.

Admittedly, she did it for the one acceptable reason imaginable: to audition for Game of Thrones.

The now-21-year-old dropped the bombshell during an interview with InStyle, wherein she reflected on her pre-teen days as a struggling actor (a period that effectively ended when GOT debuted on HBO shortly after her 14th birthday).

Still, we can’t help but wonder where she’d be if she’d gone to that Bristol pig farm instead.

Would she perhaps be studying a Certificate III in Pork Production? Or, would she simply have taken the long way round to acting, and eventually scored a role that long-rumoured Babe sequel?

All we know is that Maisie Williams being slightly less informed about pigs is probably a worthwhile trade-off for that scene where (spoiler alert) Arya fed Walder Frey his own "moron sons" in a pie. (With ingredients like that, who even needs pork?)
