Lizzo Is About to Drop New Music and We're Feeling Good as Hell

I’m in desperate need of that Lizzo fix.

In a sneaky post to Instagram on Tuesday night, Lizzo did the whole world a favour and announced that she’s finally releasing her newest album Rumours on 13 August—which is heckin’ soon.

Yes, this is real. You’re not dreaming.

The queen herself hasn’t released music since 2019, back when she collabed with hip-hop icon Missy Elliot for “Tempo”. So, many of us are in dire need of some Lizzo bangers.

The lyrical boss sung and danced her way into our hearts back in 2019 with absolute bops like “Truth Hurts” and “Good as Hell”, as well as being one of the most relatable celebs of all time on our TikTok fyp.

Not only is Lizzo planning to drop new tracks into our lives next week, but she’s also revealed that the music will mark the start of a new era, so expect some new genres, themes and sounds.

We all know all the best artists reinvent themselves every couple of years—Lady Gaga and Madonna have proven that. Let’s see Lizzo come back with a bang.

On top of the new album announcement, there are rumours that at least one of the tracks are potentially a collab with our lord and saviour Harry Styles. From what we’ve previously seen from the pair, when they get together it’s all just great vibes.

The first piece of ‘evidence’ towards this theory is the instance of at least three random radio stations posting the same image of the pair, followed by the caption “busy being unbothered.” This then further ignited the fuel that a new track would be called “Unbothered”.

all of these radio stations post a hizzo pic with the same caption & lizzo posting this on insta?? what is going onnnnn !!! pic.twitter.com/I0IgDFHiGu

Unfortunately, that’s all the suspicion we’ve got so far, so until Lizzo’s exciting new album drops next week, you can pre-save her latest track release from here.

Don’t mind me though, I’ll be manifesting the Lizzo and Harry dream collab all weekend.
