Heck Yes: Lil Nas X’s “MONTERO” Is Jam Packed Full of Collabs With Major Artists

The long-overdue album was released today

A breezy seven months after “MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name)” was released, Lil Nas X has finally treated the universe to his full album MONTERO, so prepare for one half of the world to bop and the other to get mad as heck.

The hip-hop artist dropped the album announcement on Twitter earlier today and the internet just about lost its mind.

Not only are his fans heckin’ excited, but by taking a peek at the tracklist you’ll notice that it features a whole lotta collabs with some really awesome musical icons.

On top of his solo tracks, Lil Nas has partnered on songs with Jack Harlow, Doja Cat, Elton John, Megan Thee Stallion, and Miley Cyrus.

The most surprising name on this list has got to be Elton John. Although considering his most recent single “Cold Heart” with British singer-songwriter Dua Lipa, it looks like he’s getting back in the music makin’ game with some of the world’s top artists.

Plus, knowing the kind of music Doja Cat, Megan Thee Stallion, and Miley Cyrus have been putting out recently, these collabs have got to be bangers.

Lil Nas has not shied away from the announcement either. Releasing a whole host of weird and wacky videos and images to social media. Just check out this vid of him literally birthing the album.

With the album release, Lil Nas has put together a ‘baby registry’ on his website that features a heap of awesome charities that fans can donate to for each one of MONTERO’s new tracks.

In the few hours since Lil Nas released the album, fans have already eaten the whole thing up and are loving every single second.

MONTERO features a tasty 15 tracks and has been produced by Take A Daytrip and Omer Fedi with Columbia Records.

The album is available now on all streaming services and is available to purchase from the iTunes store.
