A Whole New World: Live-Action “Aladdin” Actors Have Been Announced

The countdown is on, now that the main cast of the upcoming live-action Aladdin has been revealed.

While only a week ago, Disney was reportedly having a tough time finding an actor of Indian or Middle-Eastern descent who could sing and act (IDEA: Bollywood?), it seems that the casting for Aladdin has now been resolved.

Canadian-Egyptian actor Mena Massoud has scored the title role after reports that the studio was initially interested in Dev Patel and Riz Ahmed for the lead.

Jasmine will be played by Naomi Scott, who was the Pink Power Ranger in this year's film, and Genie will be hit up by your favourite dad, Will Smith.

No word on who their casting for Abu yet and tbh, that's all I'm here for.
