Listen To 1D’s New Song “Infinity” And Learn All About Their Next (Last?) Album

The last men standing in One Direction have dropped a new song along with some details about their upcoming album, set for release November 13.

Let them tell you all about it!

Oh, okay, that was pretty brief. Here’s what we can infer beyond that 15-second clip.

First, the album. It’s been christened Made in the A.M., maybe because they recorded it in the early hours of the morning, or, perhaps, during a screening of Ant Man.

According to Rolling Stone, 1D began work on this particular collection of songs soon after the exit of former member Zayn Malik. So, those hoping for a scrap of Zayn in here will just have to make do with 1.25 times the amount of Harry, Louis, Niall and Liam than on previous records.

Next, the new tune. The arena-ready “Infinity” follows on from their first post-Zayn single “Drag Me Down”. It’s now available to purchase. Have a listen below.

Though Made in the A.M. lands in November, One Direction’s tour is set to conclude in October. It’s already been confirmed that the boys will take a break in 2016 to recharge. Will we ever get to see them perform “Infinity” before a crowd?

A cursory glance at the history of boyband “breaks” indicates a reunion might be a ways off; once the remaining 1D members get a taste of the solo life – or, more specifically, when Harry becomes a supernova all on his own – it’s going to be very difficult to get them all back in the studio together.

So, cherish these moments while you still can!
