Liam Neeson Thinks Gender Pay Gap Is "Disgraceful", But Taking a Pay Cut Is Too Far

It's a no from Liam.
Liam Neeson, a perpetual badass dad in films, told AP Entertainment he thinks the gender pay gap between men and women in the acting industry is "f*****g disgraceful".
He went on to explain that to move past the issue, men "need to be part of the solution" because they started it in the first place.
So, naturally, the reporter asked him if he would consider a pay cut to even out the disparity.
A little warning here: Coarse language in the video below.

Neeson's response was something along the lines of "hell to the no", saying that it was a step too far.
Let's just keep in mind that Neeson pulled in about $US10 million for Taken 2 and reportedly $US20 million for Taken 3.
People had some real thoughts on this.
This almost felt like a comedy skit.

- "So would you take a pay cut to achieve parity?"
- "A pay cut? No. No." https://t.co/B3vssn9wKd
"what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you pay women equally now, that'll be the end of it." https://t.co/XcyXL5aHL6

They're ALL overpaid, just unequally.

I could be mis(taken), but I thought he was being sarcastic.

Taking a pay cut shouldn't be a solution to the problem but it does send a clear message. When we're talking about the figures that these top actors are raking in for each film, it doesn't seem like that much of a compromise for equality.
But, more importantly, the real solution is for the studio heads to start paying female actors equal amounts for equal work.
