KFC Is Over The Mutant Chicken Rumours And Is Now Suing

The Colonel has heard you gossiping behind his back and he is not into it.

According to the Wall Street Journal, KFC has sued three Chinese companies for allegedly “misleading the consumer” by posting inaccurate information about the fried chicken company online.

Some of that false information includes the persistent rumour that KFC uses chicken with six wings and eight legs.

The claims by the Chinese media companies in question come as KFC’s owners, Yum Brands Inc., report their third consecutive quarter of declining sales; a devastating slide, considering half of Yum’s revenue comes from China.

KFC is seeking up to 1.5 million yuan (approximately AU$311,000) from each of the companies, as well as an apology and, of course, an end to their alleged defamation.
