Kanye West Has Redesigned McDonald’s Packaging and It’s Either Ridiculous or Genius

Lowkey lovin’ it.

Chaotic, artistic, and unpredictable Ye has taken a side quest away from his usual music and fashion endeavours. But it’s undeniably very Kanye.

Collabing with renowned Muji product designer Naoto Fukasawa, Kanye West has reimagined McDonald’s burger packaging—we’re not sure why, or if it’s official, but hey, we’re here for it.

He launched the design on his personal Instagram, captioning it with “industrial designer Naoto Fukasawa to reimagine McDonald’s packaging”.

While this might seem completely rogue, Kanye has a long history of dabbling in design.

From completing an internship at GAP in 2009 to introducing Yeezy Home, he’s got a lot of design projects under his fashionable belt.

Naoto Fukasawa is best known for those sleek, minimalist and compact MUJI products, with famous pieces such as a wall-mounted CD player and INFOBAR mobile phone.

Together, they’ve created a slightly wack 8-bit, blocky, industrial Big Mac box that has divided the internet.

Oh, and in case you’re wondering, Ye’s favourite meal is a milkshake, side of fries, Chicken McNuggets and Tangy BBQ sauce. Good to know.
