Kanye West Delays "Yandhi" Again, Angers Lorde and Keeps Posting "Rick and Morty" Fanfic

Kanye West has told Twitter he’s going to delay his upcoming album, Yandhi, for a second time.

Though West already delivered a solo record, Ye, back in June—alongside a collaborative effort with Kid Cudi (Kids See Ghosts) and a trio of records he produced for Teyana Taylor, Nas and Pusha T—he had promised a Yeezus sequel, titled Yandhi, for September.

When the initial 17 September deadline came and went, West’s wife, Kim Kardashian, said the follow-up would instead drop on 23 November.

But now, with just a couple weeks to go, West says, nuh-uh.

It felt so good being on the stage last night with my brother Cudi. After performing again, I realize the new album I’ve been working on isn’t ready yet. I’ll announce the release date once it’s done. Thank you for understanding.

The announcement comes shortly after West and Cudi performed as Kids See Ghosts at Tyler, the Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw; a performance that riled up Lorde, of all people, who accused the duo of ripping off her stage show.

Just last month, West came out and admitted he’d been "used to spread messages" he doesn’t believe in, as a result of his recent political statements.

"I am distancing myself from politics and completely focusing on being creative," he added.

In other news, he is continuing to post Rick and Morty inspired cartoons of himself nearly every day.
