Like Mike: Aussie Netballer Julie Corletto Played Sunday's World Cup Final With A Broken Foot

Remember when Michael Jordan crushed it at the NBA Finals despite having the flu? Add Julie Corletto’s name alongside his.
The three-time world champion netballer played the entire second half of Sunday’s triumphant World Cup final… with a broken foot.
The Aussie Diamonds defeated New Zealand’s Silver Ferns at Sunday’s 2015 Netball World Cup final 58 to 55.
It is the Australian team’s 11th World Cup title across 14 tournaments since 1963.
Domination, thy name is Diamonds.
Defender Julie Corletto worked hard to keep the Ferns at bay, despite breaking her foot sometime during the tense second half of the match.
According to the SMH, she had spent the month before the tournament with her left foot in a moon boot, treating a stress fracture. The big game over the weekend was enough to make the break official.
Corletto will now retire aged 28, following 52 Tests.
Captain Laura Geitz paid tribute to her teammate’s perseverance, despite numerous foot injuries throughout her career.
"It's just amazing to see emotion from this girl, because she's a warrior,” she said.
"I don't think any of you sitting here understands just what this girl puts herself through to be out on court and what she brings to the team, and she inspires every single person that wears the green and gold and she just deserves all the success."
Way to go out on a high, Corletto.
