Jerry Seinfeld Says He Ain't Sorry About Swerving Kesha's Hug

If you’ve been on the internet in the last few days, you will likely have scrolled past headlines about Seinfeld and Kesha.

In the middle of a red carpet interview, pop star Kesha walks up to Jerry Seinfeld and claims to be a big fan. No one bats an eyelid. But then she does something a little bit odd. She requests a hug from Seinfeld. He "politely" responds with, “No, thanks.”

But Kesha isn’t finished. Being hug-swerved is generally pretty embarrassing, but on camera, that’s a deal breaker. So she insists on a little one.

It’s a very cringey affair made worse that Seinfeld has to physically step back to avoid her grasps.

He has since spoken to Extra to explain that he has zero regrets. He explains that he was “right in the middle of an interview, it was a little off.” Also, he didn't know who Kesha actually was.

“I’m 63, I don’t know every pop star… I don’t know everyone,” he added.

He went on to say that he likes to at least say “Hello” first and while he laughed about it with Kesha after the incident, he still didn’t hug her.
