Every Episode of “Seinfeld” Is Coming to Netflix in October and This Is Serenity Now

It’s real, and it’s spectacular.

There will be no airing of grievances this year. Instead, we’re all being blessed with an early Festivus present ‘cos all 180 episodes of Seinfeld are coming to Netflix in October.

FYI: as a fan of the legendary 1990s sitcom, I’m gonna weave as many quotes into this article as possible. You've been warned.

Speaking in a statement, star of the show Jerry Seinfeld joked about the news.

“Larry and I are enormously grateful to Netflix for taking this chance on us. It takes a lot of guts to trust two schmucks who literally had zero experience in television when we made this thing,” Seinfeld quipped.

“We really got carried away, I guess. I didn’t realise we made so many of them. Hope to recoup god knows how many millions it must have taken to do. But worth all the work if people like it. Crazy project.”

Honestly, people should let co-creator Larry David and Jerry get carried away more often if Seinfeld is what they produced.

What’s crazy about this deal is it was actually done and dusted way back in 2019. Netflix paid a casual $US500 million for the global streaming rights of the show at the time but had to wait for US streaming service Hulu’s contract to finish up this year.

Now that we’re only months away from the contract expiring, as of 1 October, Seinfeld will be the proud property of Netflix for the foreseeable future.

To celebrate such a momentous occasion, we recommend getting as much food from the series as possible and have a good old fashioned watch party.

We’re talking calzones, Junior Mints, non-fat yoghurt, a big salad and some soup, no matter how many times they say, “no soup for you!”

If none of that made sense to you, clearly you need to binge on some Seinfeld ASAP.

All nine seasons of Seinfeld drops on Netflix in Australia on 1 October.
