JB Hi-Fi Is Only Giving You a Few Days to Pay Off Your PS5 Pre-Orders

Damn, I was waiting for pay day.
So, it’s been three weeks since the PS5 went on pre-sale and everyone everywhere lost their minds.

While some people just jumped on to dibs their spot for a console in the queue, it’s now time to cough up the cash and actually pay for it. However, it’s looking like some people might lose their spot if they don't move fast.
EB Games and JB Hi-Fi have started sending out PS5/Xbox Series X pre-order payment messages, reminding their customers that you unfortunately will have to fork out a lot of dough to actually get your hands on one of these shiny new consoles.
JB Hi-Fi, however, have set a time limit on when payments are due. Customers have until Sunday 11 October to pay the outstanding amount in full or they will lose their pre-order and their spot in the queue. This means you’ll have to scramble your way through retailers in an attempt to score the console on launch day. Yikes!
That’s only three days from now! So it sucks if you get paid on Monday.
This is pretty bold coming from JB Hi-Fi considering they have said that the pre-order doesn’t even guarantee console availability or even a release date.
Earlier this week, JB Hi-Fi also stepped in it by announcing that gift-cards would not be an accepted form of payment for the PS5 or the Xbox Series X but due to customer outrage have since adjusted their payment system to allow for gift cards.
Oh, look. @JBHiFi has had a change of heart on gift cards. Excellent work from @seamus @byteside and @Tegan_Writes from @GizmodoAU pic.twitter.com/gMuRtNi0Bw

The way to go about using your gift cards is a little confusing but JB Hi-Fi has written an instructional post in which customers pay the full amount and then receive a refund based on their gift card balance.
While the retailer is expecting customers to pay up asap, they still haven’t confirmed exactly when shipment will be but you are able to select a Click and Collect option for your nominated store... just check when they should be receiving stock.
