Phew: Instagram Is Changing Its Algorithm So You'll Never Miss Your Friend's Meal Post Again

Instagram has heard your complaints and is working on it.

Do you remember the days when life was simple and Instagram's feed was chronological?

Well, sorry to interrupt that beautiful nostalgia, but they're not coming back.

Instagram has admitted, however, that their current algorithm isn't the best and are working on an update that will push newer posts to the top of the feed.

"Based on your feedback, we're also making changes to ensure that newer posts are more likely to appear first in feed," the statement read.

"So, if your best friend shares a selfie from her vacation in Australia, it will be waiting for you when you wake up."

Wait, Instagram listened to our complaints and are meeting us halfway between the vintage chronological feed we all loved and a feed that randomly spurts out celebrity posts?

I wonder if Snapchat can do the same?
