How to Watch "Big Little Lies" Season 2 in Australia

"Did you ever want it? Did you want it bad?" We know you do.

Remember when Big Little Lies, in its biggest little lie of all, revealed it wasn’t gonna be a one-off series, and would in fact return for a second season of big little lying?

Sure, we felt betrayed at first, but now that the trailer for Season 2 has arrived, we totally forgive them.

Spoilers ahead! In the next batch of episodes, the "Monterey Five" will have to cover-up the murder of abusive Perry Wright (Alexander Skarsgard), which will no doubt get complicated by the arrival of his nosy mother, played by actual icon Meryl Streep.

Will Celeste (Nicole Kidman) be able to outwit her mother-in-law? Will Madeline Martha Mackenzie (Reese Witherspoon) and Renata Klein be able to put aside their rivalry? Can Jane (Shailene Woodley) and Bonnie (Zoe Kravitz) keep it together long enough to evade the police investigators? And will Adam Scott please grow his beard back?

These are just some of the questions we have going into the new season. However, it's not the biggest question on our lips. That'd be this:

How do we watch it in Australia?

Well, we finally have an answer. Big Little Lies Season 2 will premiere on Foxtel’s Fox Showcase channel on Monday 10 June at 11am EST, the same time it debuts on HBO in the United States.

(Not coincidentally, Big Little Lies basically kicks off the week after HBO/Foxtel’s Game of Thrones finishes up.)

The show will also be available to stream on Foxtel Now, with new eps rolling out each Monday. (There will be seven in total for S2, just as there were seven in S1.)

FYI, though the second series has the same writer in David E. Kelley, this new season won’t be based on a book by Liane Moriarty. At least the Aussie author of the original has consulted on the plot.

Season 1 director Jean-Marc Vallée has also been replaced by Andrea Arnold for S2, though she's proven to be equally good at depicting darkly-dreamy landscapes, with her films Wuthering Heights and American Honey.

Anyway, give the opening credits another spin to whet your appetite.
