Here's Where You've Seen "Looking for Alaska" Star Kristine Froseth Before

She looks oddly familiar.

The highly anticipated Hulu series Looking for Alaska is set to premiere on Stan in Australia this weekend, and if the trailer is anything to go by, it seems like we’re in for a whole lot of teen angst and moody tunes. What’s not to love?

Based on the John Green novel of the same name, the story follows Miles "Pudge" Halter (Charlie Plummer) as he enrolls in Culver Creek boarding school in Alabama for his junior year of high school. It’s there that he falls in love with the beautiful and turbulent Alaska Young (played by Kristine Froseth). However, when tragedy strikes, Miles and his friends are left to unravel what happened.

Check it out.

A few questions spring to mind after watching the trailer. Firstly, what on earth is a "Great Perhaps" and how does one find it? More importantly though: Why does the actress playing Alaska look so familiar?

Don't fret, you're not hallucinating. Alaska is being portrayed by Norwegian actress Kristine Froseth, and there is a flick you might have seen her in before. If you love a good Netflix binge, you probably recogise Kristine from her role as popular girl Veronica in the 2018 Netflix rom-com Sierra Burgess Is A Loser. She starred alongside Stranger Things' Shannon Purser, and absolutely stole every scene. It's no different in Looking For Alaska. From what we've seen, Kristine manages to nail Alaska's mysteriousness, charisma and vulnerability.

The actress also portrays Kelly Aldrich in The Society, which is currently streaming on Netflix, and has been renewed for a second season. The show centres on a group of teenagers who have to learn to run their own community, after the rest of society disappears.

If you haven't watched either of those and still reckon you've seen Kristine before, the 23-year-old also appeared in The Weeknd's graphic music video for "False Alarm", which was released back in 2016.

Looking For Alaska premieres on Stan in Australia on 19 October.
