Frances McDormand Just Won the Entire Oscars With Her Speech

We knew Frances McDormand was amazing, but this just cemented it.
Five-time Academy Award nominee Frances McDormand took home Best Actress for her star role in Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, but it was her speech that made this moment memorable.
After thanking her family and friends, she got to say "some things" like she had earlier promised.
She gently placed her recently-won award on the ground and called for every female nominee from the night to stand up.
She called on Meryl Streep to encourage them all to stand.
"Meryl if you do it, everyone else will," McDormand said. "Look around ladies and gentlemen. We all have stories to tell and projects we need to be financed."
Women all over the world clapped in spirit.
Frances McDormand ❤️❤️❤️ and all the amazing women. 🙏

She finished the speech with two words: "Inclusion" and "rider". As explained by Whitney Cummings, the co-creator of 2 Broke Girls, it's something put into actors' contracts to ensure hiring equality.
an inclusion rider is something actors put into their contracts to ensure gender and racial equality in hiring on movie sets. We should support this for a billion reasons, but if you can't find a reason to, here's one: it will make movies better.
