Spoiler Alert! A Statistician Reckons He's Figured Out All the Oscars Winners

The Shape of Water might not steal the show according to these predictions.
The Oscars are a hot minute away from starting and everyone's got their take on who's likely to win.
But, are they all grounded in legitimate science and mathematics? Probably not. That's why we're sharing the forecasts of professional Oscars-predicter, Ben Zauzmer, to bring you what's definitely likely to happen over the next few hours.

Ben Zauzmer, who has contributed his expertise to The Hollywood Reporter, has sent out a bunch of tweets based on real analysis and we (untrained and completely unqualified in numbers) think they seem pretty legitimate.
So, who is going to win Best Picture? you may be wondering. Wonder no further.
Best Director looks almost certain to go to Guillermo del Toro for his odd romance The Shape of Water.
And what about Best Adapted Screenplay? Ben thinks Call Me By Your Name might have it in the bag.
In the best animation category, it's Coco.
Best Cinematography is looking like it will go to Blade Runner 2049 for Roger Deakins' cinematography work.
Ben's predicting that The Shape of Water could have a tough night, buuuut they'll likely pick up Best Score.
In case you just want the full run-down neatly organised.
So, there you have it. Now we've just got to wait for announcements to roll in and confirm what some are already savvy about.
