No One's Really Happy About Ryan Seacrest Attending the Oscars Red Carpet

Trigger Warning: This article discusses sexual harassment.
The Oscars Red Carpet is over but the inclusion of E!'s host, Ryan Seacrest, has left a bitter taste in the mouths of many.
Despite being publicly accused of sexual harassment recently by his former stylist, Seacrest was still chosen as the host for E!'s coverage of the Red Carpet.
The woman alleged that Seacrest grinded on her with an erect penis, groped her vagina and slapped her buttocks hard which left a mark for hours. She was reportedly dismissed from her position as his stylist after she lodged a complaint with HR.
The decision to include Seacrest has been heavily criticised due to other alleged sexual abusers choosing not to attend or being overlooked. Casey Affleck, who has also been accused of sexual misconduct, removed himself as the presenter for the Best Actress award and has been replaced by Josie Foster and Jennifer Lawrence.
It's being reported that E! had planned to allow a 30-second delay in his interviews in case any actors brought up these allegations while being interviewed.
One actor, Taraji P. Henson, spoke to Seacrest, and while she didn't bring up the allegations, her response was laden with spice.

And she wasn't alone in being bitter over why he was chosen to do the Red Carpet treatment.

E! just referred to Casey Affleck pulling out of his presenting duties amid sexual harassment allegations (“an awkward situation”), and then cut to Ryan Seacrest a few moments later. This is weird.

No one's wearing black. No one's wearing #TimesUp pins. Ryan Seacrest is asking questions on the red carpet as if he hasn't been accused of sexual harassment & assault. Business as usual. Where'd our momentum go? #MeToo #Oscars90 #Oscars

It is telling that on Hollywood's biggest night, the #Oscars, in the year of #MeToo and #TimesUp, that it will be Ryan Seacrest, a man accused of wrongdoing, who is being protected on the red carpet with a reported 30-second time delay in case attendees challenge him.

Time's up for some alleged abusers, but apparently, Ryan Seacrest is still immune to it.
