The First Full Trailer for the “Halo” TV Series Just Dropped

Sir, finishing this video.

Your fave interstellar, sci-fi, alien-fighting videogame is hitting the small screen and we’ve finally got a taste of what’s to come.

Dropping on Paramount Plus on March 24, the Halo TV series looks set to be a huge hit in the first full trailer.

The preview we get leaves the plot pretty open-ended, but fans of the game have already identified some key differences from the original storyline—including the way Halo is discovered, and Master Chief’s origin story.

If you’re not familiar with the game, it centers around a war in the 26^th century between humanity and an alliance of aliens known as The Covenant. The protagonist, Master Chief is a supersoldier known as a “Spartan”, raised for combat. He’s being played by Pablo Schreiber, a departure from the original voice actor Steve Downes.

There’s also this AI chick called Cortana, who is an assistant to the player character. Jen Taylor, the original voice actress, is taking on the role in the TV series and people have opinions about the look they’ve given her.

There’s also lots of discussion about the production value. Some are finding it visually striking, while others are pointing out a certain cheap quality about it. It’s a mixed bag.

Other stars include Natascha McElhone as the Master Chief’s war criminal mum Dr. Halsey, plus Yerin Ha and Charlie Murphy.

Fetch me a Covenant Energy Sword and get me on The Phantom. I’m ready.
