Here’s All the Exciting Game Announcements from PlayStation ‘State of Play’ 2022

The games are on! 🎮

PlayStation’s ‘State of Play’ was broadcast today, and we got some exclusive peeks and teasers into upcoming releases.

From samurais to Norse gods to haunted Harry Potter quests, there was a little bit of everything.

We’ve wrapped up some of the most well-received announcements that are sure to get gamers hyped over the next few months!

 “God of War Ragnarok”.

With epic lines like “fate only binds you if you let it” and “death can have me when it earns me”, this trailer packed a punch.

In this ninth instalment in the God of War series, Norse mythology comes to life against the backdrop of ancient Scandinavia.

It’s on track to be released in November, along with a special edition blue and white controller with wolves on the front.

“Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge”.

We’ve had a look at this upcoming Star Wars game before, but a longer trailer has dropped.

You’ll become a Bounty Hunter in the Star Wars universe—shooting and selling stuff and travelling between planets.

Oh, and it’s on PlayStation VR2—a full virtual reality experience.

“Demeo”.

The format of this game is super unique. It’s played like a tabletop game experience, with the camera on the board.

It’s pretty much like playing D&D, but in VR, and magic stuff happens on the board.

“Like a Dragon: Ishin!”.

If you love samurais, a bit of gore and badassery, you’ll love this.

It’s a spin-off of the Yakuza games set in Edo-era Japan. And for the first time, it’ll be available to play outside of Japan.

“Hogwarts Legacy: Exclusive Haunted Hogwarts Hogsmeade Shop Quest”.

Bit of a mouthful, but this is essentially a creepy quest that’s exclusive to all PlayStation versions of Hogwarts Legacy.

You’re attacked by wooden dolls that have been brought to life inside a wooden trunk in Hogsmeade. It’s giving all that wonderful, haunted Harry Potter energy.

There were plenty more announcements made in the PlayStation ‘State of Play’ broadcast today, so check ‘em all out here. In the meantime, we’ll be twiddling our thumbs ‘til all the goodies come our way.
