Fans Reckon "STUD" Is Troye Sivan's Best Song Ever

The people have spoken.

It is always a happy day when your favourite artist releases new music. There is nothing better than being notified that there are some fresh tunes to add to your go-to playlist.

Fortunately for Troye Sivan stans, the Australian singer-songwriter has dropped his new concept EP, In a Dream.

It contains six songs, including lead single "Take Yourself Home", which Sivan shared back in April. In fact, he called it one of his favourite songs he's ever written.

While fans definitely love "Take Yourself Home", they've also quickly become obsessed with another song on the EP: "STUD".

The electropop track starts off with Sivan singing, "Hey stud, you can come and you can come and meet me out front," on top of a groovy synth backing.

Sivan's vocals are distorted by various effects as he croons to a wannabe lover.

As fans point out, it is an absolute bop.

STUD by troye Sivan gave me life. Sorry mom. @troyesivan

The EP also features singles "Easy" and "Rager teenager!", which both dropped with self-directed videos and were written and produced with Oscar Görres.

Görres worked on some songs from "Bloom", Sivan's last full-length album.

Five of the songs from the EP were recorded just before lockdown in both Stockholm and Los Angeles.

We'll have to wait and see whether "STUD" tops the ARIA charts. After all, Sivan's track "Wild" claimed the #1 spot back in September 2015.
