Ed Sheeran Will Appear In "Game of Thrones" This Season

He wants your "Castle on the Hill", Khaleesi!
Ed Sheeran, not content with simply dominating puny pop charts, is set to take over your favourite TV show too.

Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss announced at the South by Southwest Festival that the “Sing” singer will cameo in the upcoming season of their HBO hit.
Sheeran joins a list of musical GOT guest stars that includes Gary Lightbody of Snow Patrol and Will Champion of Coldplay. (Benioff and Weiss certainly have a type.)
Don’t expect him to have a massive part, however. Musicians who previously cameoed in Westeros only did so fleetingly. Who knows? He might even end up as one of the show’s famous “heads on a stick”.
The seventh season of Game of Thrones debuts in July. It’ll be slightly truncated, with the equally-short eighth season wrapping up proceedings once and for all. (There is still time for a Taylor Swift cameo then.)
