Easter Is Sorted 'Cos There's a Six Kilo Violet Crumble Choccy Egg At Costco

Excuse me while I treat myself.
With Easter right around the corner, Easter chocolate and hot cross buns have been flooding supermarket shelves since, well, December (yes Coles, we’re looking at you).
So, before you decide to cancel the sweet treat after having it shoved in your face for so long, you’ll want to check out this chocolate monstrosity that Costco (where everything is bigger) has been hiding from us.
This year, Violet Crumble has released a massive six kilo Easter egg in Costco stores around Australia, and at six kilos it has got a hefty price tag of $250.
The egg is just like the chocolate bar with crumbly, honeycomb toffee wrapped in thick milk chocolate.

It’s not exactly clear yet if the egg is hollow, solid or if it contains a secret surprise, but at six kilos and $250, you’d hope that the inside isn’t just a big empty space of air.
CEO of Robert Menz, Phil Sims, explained that they wanted to bring a smile to peoples' faces this year after dealing with the coronavirus pandemic, so they went “a little crazy.”
“With Aussies able to celebrate Easter together socially distanced this year, we wanted to bring a smile to everyone’s faces with an Easter selection sure to satisfy their chocolate and honeycomb needs,” he said.
“We were blown away by the reaction last year with the release of our new cult favourites, like the Violet Crumble Milk Drink and Caramel Violet Crumble, so we’re thrilled to once again feed fans’ appetite for Violet Crumble in all its delicious, shattering forms this Easter.”
What’s even better about this chocolate monument is that Robern Menz—the parent company of Violet Crumble—are running a sneaky comp to win one of the giant eggs.

All you’ve gotta do is spend $20 or more in-store at a FruChocs Shop in either Glynde, Maclaren Vale or Hahndorf, South Australia.
All entrants to the comp must be 16 and over, and the winner will be drawn Tuesday, 31 March, so keep your fingers crossed.
For those of us that are willing to spend the coin, the egg is on sale at Costco for a limited time, so get in quick.
