PSA: Macca’s Are ‘Soft Launching’ a Batch of Chocolate Soft Serve Ice Cream

My ice cream Sundae is about to go next level.

Big news for sweet-toothed Aussies: Macca’s are slinging secret choccie soft serve at random stores for a limited time only.

Yes, you read that right. Maccas is finally switching up their ice cream game by giving the world a chocolate version of their classic soft serve in a cone.

Run, don’t walk (within your lockdown radius of course) to your local McDonald’s right now.

While it’s not confirmed which Macca’s locations have the sneaky dessert, it has been revealed online by several lucky TikTokers around the country, including ex-Big Brother contestant Tilly Whitfeld.

“We are trialling new chocolate soft serve for a limited time only,” the sign in the video reads.

“Try one today.”

The one pictured in Tilly’s video is located in the suburb of Mosman, NSW, whereas this other by @miktok1234 is in Tuart Hill, WA. Bit of a random distribution but we’re not complaining.

@miktok1234 and her mates were even able to get a mix of both the vanilla and the chocolate in one cone (is this heaven?)

According to some of the lucky taste testers, the soft serve tastes just like a chocolate Yogo custard (omg the memories).

If you’ve recently been to Macca’s, didn’t see the option at your store, and are wondering if this is cap, you’ll be hyped to know that Macca’s did in fact confirm the chocolate trial with News.com.au.

According to the publication it’s only being trialled in NSW, QLD and SA. So, I’m confused as heck for how those WA TikTokers got their hands on it.

McDonald’s Australia also told News.com.au that it is looking forward to receiving feedback from customers which will form part of its decision to roll the chocolate soft serve out nationwide.

So, if you want it to become a permanent item on the Macca’s menu, go on a soft-serve hunt and try it out ASAP.
