Dwayne Johnson Will Run for President as Soon as He Decides on His Policies

Can you smell what the electoral college is cooking?
One day, we will reflect on the time President Johnson effectively announced his candidacy, and fondly recall it was on his press junket for Baywatch.
Dwayne Johnson has told GQ “it’s a real possibility” he’ll one day run for President of the United States of America. (We know he’s serious because GQ says he told them so “solemnly”.)
The idea evolved beyond a joke last June, when The Washington Post published an op-ed that suggested he’d be a viable candidate. And honestly, nothing that has happened in the world of politics since then has made that any less true.
What was initially a “fun” read for Johnson inspired genuine questions as to whether or not he’d pursue a future in politics.
“A year ago… it started coming up more and more,” he told GQ.
“There was a real sense of earnestness, which made me go home and think, ‘Let me really rethink my answer and make sure I am giving an answer that is truthful and also respectful.’ I didn't want to be flippant—‘We'll have three days off for a weekend! No taxes!’”
So, what might his policies include? Well, that’s where things get a little vague, beyond his general support for “the troops”.
However, the former wrestler turned actor (who is registered as an Independent and has refused to pledge loyalty to either Democratic or Republican parties) is no fan of current President Trump’s ‘Muslim ban’.
“I completely disagree with it,” he said.
“I believe in our national security to the core, but I don't believe in a ‘ban’ that bans immigrants. I believe in inclusion. Our country was built on that, and it continues to be made strong by that.”
That quote will look great on a hat.
GQ also asked Johnson for his thoughts on Trump’s progress as Commander in Chief; though he remained cagey, he settled on this: “I'd like to see a better leadership. I'd like to see a greater leadership.”
“The responsibility as president—I [would] take responsibility for everyone. Especially when you disagree with me. If there's a large number of people disagreeing, there might be something I'm not seeing, so let me see it. Let me understand it.”
