President Donald Trump Is Now Feuding With Snoop Dogg

U.S. President Donald J. Trump has his fair share of troubles.

First of all, there’s today’s news that his revised travel ban on immigrants from six Muslim-majority nations has been blocked by a federal judge in Hawaii, one day before it was meant to go into effect.

Then there’s the renewed interest in his tax returns, after a two-page excerpt from his 2005 release was leaked to MSNBC journalist Rachel Maddow.

And, of course, there’s the ever-present roiling of the American people and even his Republican colleagues over ‘Trumpcare’, his proposed replacement of Barack Obama’s healthcare program, which will leave 24 million Americans without coverage. Oh, not to mention the backlash to that “wiretapping” accusation he lobbed against Obama.

But if you thought all of this (and the day-to-day running of a nation) would distract Trump from petty celebrity feuds, well, you don’t know Trump.

The literal President of the United States yesterday took aim at “Drop It Like It’s Hot” rapper Snoop Dogg, following the release of a new music video in which Snoop can be seen firing a toy gun at what appears to be Donald Trump in clown make-up.

You can check out the video for his tune “Lavender” here, but viewer discretion is advised, for coarse language, drug use, violence and what appears to be an unlicensed Suicide Squad parody. (Haven’t we suffered enough?)

Anyway, Trump is clearly no longer a Snoop fan, accusing him of having a “failing career” and suggesting he’d see “jail time” if the video had featured Barack Obama as his target.

Now, would you be surprised to learn this isn’t even the first time Trump and Dogg have swapped barbs? During Comedy Central’s 2011 Roast of Donald Trump, Snoop Dogg called him “the real player, Don Juan, Donald Trump, the Don,” before saying that his proposal to run for President and move into the White House made total sense: “Why not? It wouldn’t be the first time you pushed a black family out of their home.”

He closed: “From one pimp to another, much respect, keep banking that skrilla.”

And to think this beautiful friendship has curdled in such public fashion.
