Domino’s Has Collabed With Vegemite to Release a Vegemite Pizza

Aussie panic.

No one can deny the delicious Aussie flavour combo that is Vegemite and cheese. And while the classic pairing is a staple in Aussie homes, the yeasty spread brand and Domino’s have decided to come together to take it one step further.

That’s right, Domino’s and Vegemite have officially collabed to create an official Cheesy Vegemite Domino’s pizza that celebrates the Australian staple.

The limited-edition item has finally been added to the Dominos menu after the pizza place asked social media followers in January if they would at ”yeast” give a Cheesy Vegemite pizza a go, and the overwhelming response was “yes” via almost 30,000 likes and 12,000 comments.

So, happy little Vegemites are officially being transformed into happy little pizza-mites with the collaboration’s new creation, and I fully approve of that title change.

Domino’s Cheesy Vegemite pizza is exactly what you’d expect: Vegemite and cheese. Plus, all of the cheeky vegan/dairy-free pizza-mites can have a go, ‘cos you can swap the dairy cheese for vegan cheese and get the same nostalgic experience.

Domino’s ANZ Chief Marketing Officer Adam Ballesty said in a release that it makes sense to bring the iconic Aussie flavour back to its home soil.

“It’s great to see Americans enjoying what we here in Oz know to be true–that Vegemite can go on just about anything,” he said.

“There’s something so quintessentially Aussie about a Vegemite and cheese pizza, and we’re excited to be able to offer this unique combination to customers right here at home.

“To this day, we still receive messages from customers asking us to make this combination a reality and at Domino’s… we always deliver!”

Vegemite Marketing Manager Jacqui Roth said the yeasty spread isn’t just limited to the breakfast table.

“Vegemite is being added to everything from stir-fries to roast potatoes, but you can’t beat the classic cheese and Vegemite combo,” she said.

Domino’s Cheesy Vegemite pizza is available right now on the Domino’s app and in stores across the country for just $7.95 pick-up (bargain), and for just three weeks, or until sold out. So, get your hands on it while you can.
