PSA Spooky Guys and Gals: Domino’s Have Brought Back Their Pizza Roulette for Halloween

Treat or spicy?

We love it when brands bring out a cheeky new product or event for spooky season but this year, Domino’s have brought back a classic that’ll have you crying hot, spicy tears.

That’s right, the Pizza peeps have re-introduced their Halloween Pizza Roulette for one week only from Monday 25 October.

Those who dare to “roll the spice dice” will have one slice of their pizza—at random—with one slice being doused in Domino’s Reaper Chilli Sauce (yikes).

They’ve really upped the ante on this one.

For those who don’t know, the Carolina Reaper is considered to be the hottest chilli in the world, clocking in at a whopping 1.4 million to 2.2 million Scoville Heat Units (SHU) on the Scoville Scale.

Domino’s gave the world this wild concept last year and it went off with a bang (and some burnt tongues I’m sure).

Last year’s roulette featured one of the other hottest chillis in the world (but not quite the hottest) called the Yellow Bhut Jolokia Chilli, which honestly sounds deadly.

For those of you who think your eyes and nose are good enough to pick out the bad one from the bunch, think again, it’s a lot harder to pick as it’s disguised just like every other slice.

Domino’s Australia and New Zealand Chief Marketing Officer Adam Ballesty said those who experienced last year’s Pizza Roulette are in for a shocker with this rendition.

“We’re turning up the heat this Halloween with Domino’s Reaper Chilli Sauce – it really is like a game of roulette,” Mr Ballesty said.

“If you love chilli, then you’ll want to be the lucky one to bite into the slice possessed with heat, but if you’re spice adverse… well, RIP tastebuds.

“We’ve added a warning label to every box, so that should indicate the level of spiciness we’re talking here—there’s no tricking going on with this sauce!”

You might be wondering what you get for successfully completing the Halloween Roulette challenge. Well, Domino’s has said that you can cool yourself down with a Red Velvet Thickshake but it’s unclear if it comes free after the pizza, or if you have to dish out some more dollars.

If you’re looking to burn your face off for fun this Halloween, you better get in quick ‘cos the Roulette Pizza is only available for a limited time from 25 October to 31 October when it will vanish like a 'lil ghost.
