Could Cersei Lannister Save Westeros? This "Game of Thrones" Finale Theory Believes So

Is Cersei Lannister even capable of doing something so selfless?
The final season of Game of Thrones is on the horizon but before the show wraps up once and for all, a barrage of theories will reign down on the internet for us to sift through and rate.
Look, by this stage, if you still don't know about the White Walkers' imminent invasion of Westeros you almost deserve to have the show spoiled for you.
Nevertheless, here's our **spoilers ahead** warning.
Season 7 ended with a very neat and simple set-up for Season 8: the White Walkers are definitely coming and, true to brand, all of Westeros is divided, fighting over each other's land.
Interestingly, Cersei Lannister also hinted she was pregnant by her brother, Jamie, again. While the verdict's still out over whether she truly is pregnant (or using it for manipulation), one Redditor had an explosive theory that seems so insane, it could well be true.
Cast your memory back to the first few seasons when we discover that Craster, a wildling north of the wall, had been donating babies to the White Walkers in exchange for survival. Because of this fact, we know that the White Walkers are able (and willing?) to negotiate and that's where this theory kicks in.
It's suggested that Cersei, whose love for her children is seen as her only weakness, may sacrifice her unborn child to the Night King in exchange for her survival (or potentially, rule) in Westeros. Whether things work out for Cersei is a whole other kettle of fish but it would be interesting to see the White Walkers in a negotiating light rather than their usual 'stabby first, questions later' vibe.

The outcome is in line with a recent Daily Beast interview with Lena Headey (the actor behind Cersei) who explained she loves her character, calling her a "survivor" who "refuses to let go."
"We've seen [the show's characters] over such a long period of time, and with the subtleties of men's weaknesses being exposed throughout," Headey said.
"These women have risen over the course of this series. I really, genuinely love Cersei and think she's quite funny.
"You just have to admire a survivor like that. She absolutely refuses to let go."
That, she certainly does, which makes us think that her ultimate sacrifice, in order to survive, could certainly be the unborn child she's carrying. But, that's if she's even pregnant in the first place.
The one thing we do doubt is that she'll do it in the name of saving Westeros; that will likely be a consequence of it. Remember, Cersei's mantra is always Cersei first, then her family (minus Tyrion, of course).

We'll know how Westeros comes crashing down soon enough when it returns to our screens on Foxtel's Showcase channel and Foxtel Now on 15 April.
