Cheddar from "Brooklyn Nine Nine" Has Died

Lowering the flags to half-mast is too high. Show some damned respect.
Mark it: 12 July is officially an international day of mourning, because very good boy and professional dog actor Stewart has died. He was 13 (or 91 in dog years).
Stewart was, of course, best known as the chonky corgi Cheddar on Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Here he is in better, more alive times.

Cheddar belonged to Captain Raymond Holt and his husband Kevin, and was at times used as a pawn in the precinct’s shenanigans. There truly was no one else like him.
Alas, Stewart’s owner revealed on Instagram that his dog "went to sleep peacefully" after being visited by a veterinarian, following a final day at the beach and a meal of In & Out burgers.
We fully expect Cheddar’s passing to be the lead story, if not season-long arc, when Brooklyn Nine-Nine returns for its seventh season later this year. Anything less would be disrespectful. We will not accept a recasting.

Rest in power.
