Aziz Ansari Has Responded to Allegations of Sexual Assault

Trigger Warning: This article discusses sexual assault.
Master of None creator and actor, Aziz Ansari, has responded to allegations of sexual assault, which were made public after an article was published on Babe.net yesterday.
The article was a third-person account of a New York City photographer who went on a date with Aziz and alleges that he was pushy with his sexual demands and that she felt violated.
"It really hit me that I was violated," the photographer told Babe. "That that whole experience was actually horrible."
The news comes just a week after Aziz wore a "Time's Up" badge to the Golden Globes in support of the #metoo movement. He is the second actor to be accused of sexual assault and harassment since the Golden Globes after five women spoke out against James Franco.
In a statement to The FADER, Aziz admitted that he "responded privately after taking the time to process what she had said", but maintains that "by all indications", the incident was "completely consensual."
The statement has upset some on Twitter due to it being a non-apology.

I'm seeing people brushing this off by talking about women not having "negotiating" skills. Apparently that means a dude can press & press & press a woman to have sex & ignore all the ways she reacts, except when she finally gives in, & then that's the woman's fault (naturally).
