Australia's Capitals Just Had Some of Their Biggest Marriage Equality Rallies Ever Over the Weekend

Over the weekend, Sydney and Brisbane made a pretty big show of support for marriage equality in the upcoming postal vote.
Aerial estimates suggest around 30,000 people rocked up to Sydney's Town Hall yesterday to show their support for marriage equality, which essentially shut the city down for a few hours.
Labor leaders Bill Shorten and Tanya Plibersek addressed the actually 'yuuuuge crowd. "If we win this survey, it won't be because of a particular politician or politicians," Shorten said. "It'll be because Australia has said it's time to make marriage equality a reality."
Brisbane also held a rally, which was estimated to have up to 10,000 in attendance, with few anti-marriage equality protesters in sight.
And, of course, the signs were (figuratively) fire.

The rally comes just days before the first postal votes are due to be received in mailboxes around Australia. You can expect your ballots to arrive anytime after Tuesday, September 12, and you will need to return them by November 7 (but surely you could send it a bit earlier just to be safe).
We've written up a handy FAQ if you need to get your head around the process a bit more.
Let it rain(bow).
