Australia Zoo Wants You to Name Their New Baby Drop Bear

Australia Zoo Wants You to Name Their New Baby Drop Bear

There's a new baby drop bear (sometimes referred to as 'koalas') at Australia Zoo and it needs to be named.

One of Australia Zoo's mama koalas has given birth to twelve little koala puppers and they want you to help name the most special one (you CAN have favourites sometimes, okay).

The special one we speak of has white fur but is not actually an albino. It's apparently super rare and is the first of its kind at the zoo. To celebrate, they want you to name her. Expert suggestions (from me) are Daenerys, Floof, Joey Tribbiani, Yogi Bear, Snow White, Elsa and Cotton Ball (okay, maybe the last one is too much of a stretch).

Australia Zoo reckons her pale fur comes from her mother, Tia, who has birthed other light-coloured offspring. Mum and bub are on display at the special 'Mums and Bubs' branches at the zoo for now.

Gaze at her rare beauty.

Earlier this year, the Queensland Police Service decided to let the public name their new police puppers, which ended being a bit of a doozy. They decided on Gilly, Gator, Gidget, Georgie, Gabby, Gemma and Gypsy, which were obviously a bit basic for crime-fighting pups, but ya know, I guess you can't have little Gandalfs and Godzillas taking down criminals.

If you want to have a crack, you can pop your suggestion in the post's comments here.
