Aussies Can’t Vote In The U.S. Election, But We Can Now Share Endorsements On Facebook

Basically, just assume all your relationships are going to be severed over the next few weeks.
Facebook, fully realising that everyone’s favourite part of the social media platform is learning about the conflicting political affiliations of your friends and yelling at them accordingly, has introduced a new feature that will no doubt heighten tensions even further.
You can now ‘Endorse’ U.S. presidential candidates, in a similar manner that you would, say, like a food truck’s fan page, or this page on ‘AFL related Simpsons quotes’. The function also allows you to “create a post to let people know why they should consider voting for” your preferred prez.
Oh, that’ll be fun.
To do so, you need to visit each candidate’s page and select ‘Endorsements’ on the left hand side of the navigation. There, you’ll be able to see Public Endorsements (you can keep yours private) and Friends Endorsements.

You won’t be able to cast a vote on November 8 - being Australian and all – but you can still let the world know where you stand.
Head to the pages of Hillary Clinton and Donald J. Trump to make your voice heard. You can also endorse third party candidates Jill Stein, Gary Johnson and Evan McMullin, if you’re so inclined.
On a separate but somewhat related note, we fully endorse this video of Laura Benanti returning to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert as Melania Trump. It’s good to laugh again!

I feel like if Aussies could vote though, we would intentionally go for Trump just for a laugh
