Ariana Grande's "Thank U, Next" Video Will Recreate Your Fave "Mean Girl" Moments

Ariana Grande's "thank u, next" video is about to make wigs fly.

Everybody's favourite pint-sized, high-ponytailed pop star, Ariana Grande, is about to unleash a nostalgic music video for "thank u, next" of fetch-sized proportions.

The singer has been teasing the naughties homage on social media for some days, suggesting it would be part-Mean Girls and part-Bring It On, with a sprinkle of Suddenly 30.

But, the video's teaser reveals it's looking to be a pretty faithful recreation of your favourite high school comedy, Mean Girls.

Among the modern-day cameos by her "Dance to This" pal Troye Sivan, who was recently in another throwback video, and her Victorious co-star Liz Gillies, were some familiar faces from the OG 2004 flick.

There was 2004 dreamboat, Aaron Samuels (played by Jonathan Bennett), who admitted that Ariana, like Regina George, thinks his hair looks sexy pushed back.

Even the flip-flops and army pants girl, who I've recently found out had a name (it's Bethany Byrd, FYI), made a comeback.

TMZ has also reported that one of the Kardashian sisters will make a "dancing cameo" but we hope it's a very specific cameo *cough* Amy Poehler *cough*.

Naturally, the combination of Mean Girls' huge following and Ariana's legion of dedicated fans means that the hype for this four-minute video is on another level.

TMZ reckons it'll drop this Friday so whip out your dusty Mean Girls DVD and prepare yourself for this fetch throwback.

Keep one eye on her YouTube channel and social media accounts until Friday.
