These Viral Air Fried Pasta Chips Are the Snack You Didn't Know You Needed

You've probably seen this on TikTok.

If you’re still using a cookbook to make dinner, then you’re seriously livin’ in the past. TikTok is legit where it’s at for all your cooking desires and we’re so glad the social media gods have blessed us with the new pasta chips trend.

Btw, how come chips x pasta is a mashup that hasn't happened earlier? It's 2021 and only now humans worked out we can turn pasta into chips. We're not worthy.

Today’s TikTok cooking hack comes from humanity's saviour Feel Good Foodies, but there are plenty of other TikTokers who have done this trend too, so don’t feel like you have to play by her rules.

Shut up and tell me how to cook them already!

Okay geez, you're a little hangry but we love your passion. Feel Good Foodie begins by boiling up her rigatoni, drains it, then mixes in some olive oil, parmesan cheese (heck yes!) and some spices. You don’t have to use rigatoni fyi, you can literally pick any pasta you want.

From there, chuck the pasta into your air-fryer (get one if you don’t, it’ll change your life) for 10 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius.

While waiting for them to cook, the TikToker chucked together a whipped feta dip made with feta cheese, Greek yoghurt, garlic and olive oil (drool).

The finished product looks bloody amazing and we’re defs gonna try this one when we get home.

Satisfied?

Can I do a different flavour?

Glad you asked. If the above recipe was original flavour, we’re gonna need to have salt and vinegar right? (The answer to that is yes.)

Thankfully Feel Good Foodie is back to our rescue with her salt and vinegar variation. Again, she starts by boiling and draining her pasta (she used farfalle this time, that’s the bowtie looking ones) before mixing in six tablespoons of vinegar, half a tablespoon of sea salt and one tablespoon of olive oil.

Chuck them into the air fryer on 200 degrees Celsius for 10-15 minutes until they’re golden crispy and then indulge in that pasta crunch you’ve so desperately been craving. She served it up with a sour cream and onion dip but you can get away with eating these bad bois solo.

Oh and if you're freakin' out that six tablespoons is too much vinegar, it's not.
