Your Fave Time-Waster "Animal Crossing" Is Coming to Nintendo Switch

If there's been a serious Animal Crossing-shaped hole in your life for the last six years, we have good news.

Animal Crossing has always been a great waster of time but for the past six years, there hasn't been a new full release to dominate our spare hours.

That is, until today, when Nintendo announced that Isabelle, the star of Animal Crossing: New Leaf, would be joining the upcoming Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and that there would be a new Animal Crossing coming to Nintendo Switch next year.

Late last year, the Animal Crossing series appeased some fans by unveiling an app, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, which was certainly fun for a bit but nothing quite like the real thing.

There's no real information as to whether this 2019 game will be a new story or just a port of an existing game, but any news at all was very welcome to the intense fandom.

I DON'T CARE IF IT'S VAGUE.
I DONT CARE IF IT'S 2019.
I DON'T CARE IF IT'S NOT LIKE NEW LEAF.
SWITCH. ANIMAL CROSSING. AAAAAAHHHH!!!! https://t.co/cjKFVRdgXS

There's also no word on when the game will be released (other than sometime next year) but still, we are eternally grateful Nintendo.
