There's a New "Animal Crossing" On the Way, But You'll Have to Wait a Bit Longer

Just 282 more days until Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
Seven years. That's how long its been since the last Animal Crossing instalment was released into our hot, sweaty little palms.
While Animal Crossing: New Leaf still holds up in 2019 and Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp was enough to tide us over for another year or so, we were in desperate need of new content.
Thankfully, Nintendo has finally given us some more of the deets at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) about the upcoming release, New Horizons, but it turns out we'll have to wait until March 2020 to satiate our hunger.
Like its predecessors, New Horizons will see the player build a new town in a number of new environments. There are desert, snow and tropical island settings and, in a fun new twist, you can put your items wherever you want in town, not just your humble abode.
Of course, fans who had already been waiting a staggering *checks watch again for emphasis* seven years were understandably impatient at the further nine-month wait.
Other more optimistic Animal Crossers were thankful to use that delay time to save up.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons will be released on Nintendo Switch on 20 March 2020.
