You Can Now Be Thanos or Battle Thanos in "Fortnite"

If you’ve been struggling to pull yourself away from Fortnite to see Avengers: Infinity War, we have good news for you.

Epic Games and Marvel have announced an “unprecedented crossover event”, EW exclusively reports, in which Thanos, the Infinity War villain, will briefly drop into Fortnite’s Battle Royale mode.

As of Tuesday 8 May (hey, that’s today!), players on all Battle Royale-friendly platforms—PS4, Xbox, PC, Mac and iOS—will be able to access the “Infinity Gauntlet Limited Time Mashup” mode.

In it, 100 players will go head-to-head-to-head-to-head (et cetera) as per usual, but they’ll also be able to snag the Infinity Gauntlet, revealed on the map and handily already equipped with the six Infinity Stones needed to wreak havoc.

The player who scores the Gauntlet will then transform into Thanos himself. So, good luck everyone else.

Of course, this is just for a limited time, so get him while you can.

Directors Joe and Anthony Russo have also revealed that they used to play Fortnite while editing Infinity War, so that kinda explains the massive death toll.
