Why Khloè Kardashian Wants That Unedited Pool Photo Deleted

She addressed the situation on Instagram and Twitter.
Earlier this week, the internet came to a screeching halt when word got out that the Kardashian family were pulling all their strings to take down an unedited pic of Khloè Kardashian.
Unfortunately, as the word of their internet scrubbing spread, so did the photo. Let's just say, it was everywhere.
There were even reports of legal action being taken to get the photo down as some social media users began recieving legal notices for sharing the image, with some saying they were blocked on platforms for reposting it.
The snap in question is just a basic poolside pic of Khloè that is clearly untouched, unfiltered and for the most part unplanned or posed.
So, it's not normally what we see from the Kardashians, but still normal af and definitely something we’ve seen before.
According to Page Six, the photo was taken and accidently uploaded to social media by an assistant to Khloè.
‘Cos Khloè, uh, clearly doesn’t want the image on the internet, we’re not going to attach it here.
Once the pic started spreading online, many haters of the Kardashians heavily criticised the family for constantly posting touched up, airbrushed pics of themselves and reinforcing unrealistic beauty standards.
Others were mostly confused as to what beef Khloè had with the photo in the first place, pointing out that not only does she look beautiful, but that it was refreshing to see her looking more natural.
While it looked like Khloè and her fam were just going to sit back and continue on their deleting spree, she did finally break her silence yesterday when she posted a statement and an Instagram live.
Now this is where things get a bit weird.
Both in an Instagram live and then a feed post shortly after, Khloè showed of her unedited body.

Hopping onto Instagram and watching Khloè lift up her jumper for several seconds was probably the last thing the internet was expecting.
Alongside this, she shared a statement to Twitter. In the post, she explained how much she has struggled with her body image and the constant pressure to meet certain beauty standards or be compared to her sisters.
“The pressure, the constant ridicule and judgement my entire life to be perfect and to meet other’s standards of how I should look has been too much to bear,” she said in the post.
“’Khloè is the fat sister.’ ‘Khloè is the ugly sister.’ ‘Her dad must not be her real dad because she looks so different.’ ‘The only way she could have lost that weight must have been from surgery.’ Should I go on?”
She also pointed out that regardless of who you are, if you find a picture of yourself that you dislike floating around online, you have every right to ask for it to be taken down and not be shared.
While Khloè makes and excellent point here, some social media goers have pointed out that her and her family play a huge role in contributing to and reinforcing unattainable beauty standards.
Either way, seems like Khloè and the internet have blown this photo way out of proportion and it’s just a classic reminder that most of what we see on Instagram is a big lie.
Thankfully, there are tonnes of body positive influencers that you can follow, all over social media like @mikkzazon, @kyauchiha, and @imnotbunny on TikTok just to name a few.
@mikkzazon Just normal things ♥️
