Who Will Release Andy Samberg's "Palm Springs" in Australia?

Where will Aussies be able to watch the existential rom-com?

The trailer for Neon and Hulu's Palm Springs starring Andy Samberg and Cristin Miloti is finally here, and it's safe to say Samberg stans are more than satisfied.

From the looks of the trailer, we're in for some sort of Groundhog Day-ish romance, with Nyles (Samberg) and maid of honour Sarah (Miloti) developing a romance at a Palm Springs wedding.

While everything appears to be going smoothly, they find themselves stuck in one of those "infinite time loop" situations, with the pair unable to escape each other.

It looks like a whole lot of fun.

Hulu and Neon actually paid a record $US17.5 million to acquire the film at Sundance back in January, which breaks a record for the biggest sale ever at the film fest. Plus, early reviews have been praising the movie for being both witty and wise.

Palm Springs is produced by Limelight and Lonely Island Classics, and also stars J.K. Simmons, Meredith Hagner, Camila Mendes, Tyler Hoechlin and Peter Gallaghar.

Max Barbakow directed the movie, while Andy Siara penned the script. Samberg is also a producer of the flick, and Gabby Revilla Lugo is the executive producer.

Palm Springs is set to premiere on Hulu on Friday 10 July in the United States, but that leaves us with one very important question: How will Aussies be able to watch it?

Unfortunately, it's difficult to know at this stage. Plus, Hulu's previous original movies haven't always landed on the same platform. Little Monsters was released in cinemas before hitting Foxtel, Wounds came to Aussie Netflix, and Big Time Adolescence had no local distribution at all.

At the same time, most of their television shows have been spread out between Stan, Foxtel and Amazon.

We reached out to Netflix, Stan, Amazon and Neon for comment, but they haven't been able to confirm anything yet.

However, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Neon and Hulu have landed worldwide rights to the comedy, so that suggests that they will be distributing it beyond the US.

For now, you'll just have to wait patiently and rewatch the trailer over and over and over again.
