Which "Game of Thrones" Stars Actually Deserved Their Emmy Nominations?

Only Cersei Lannister could be nominated for sipping wine and staring from a balcony.
It has been almost two months since we parted ways with our Mother of Dragons and the Stark children. After countless tears, multiple viewings of Kit Harrington’s reaction to learning of that shocking scene, and petitions to change the ending, we thought we had finally mourned and moved on from Game of Thrones.
Until the Emmy nominations for 2019 were announced, of course.
Despite the final season of GOT receiving widely mixed reviews, the show has earned a whopping 32 nominations. Pretty surprising considering some people, well, hated it.

The show has been nominated in categories including Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series, Outstanding Lead Actress (Emilia Clarke for Daenerys Targaryen), and Outstanding Lead Actor (Kit Harrington for Jon Snow).
However, what really shocked everyone is that Gwendoline Christie, Lena Headey, Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams all picked up nominations in the supporting actress category, while Alfie Allen, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Peter Dinklage are all nominated in the supporting actor category too.
Additionally, Carice van Houten was nominated for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series for her role as Melisandre.
As always, the internet has chimed in and declared some members of the cast undeserving of the award. Let’s take a closer look at who is worthy and who is not.
Totally worthy
Gwendoline Christie (Brienne of Tarth)
Gwendoline Christie could certainly be knighted at this year’s Emmy Awards. Judging by her tweet, she does not think she is worthy. But really, we are not worthy of her.
Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen)
Mother of Dragons, we will bend the knee. Let’s give Emilia Clarke credit where credit is due, it must have been emotionally exhausting to portray Dany going full-blown psychotic in just a few episodes.
Maisie Williams (Arya Stark)
She came. She saw. She conquered. Give her the Emmy already!
Surprised @Maisie_Williams is nominated for supporting and not lead character. Like Arya didn't support the slaying of night king, but like lead it.

Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark)
Seriously, we just want to see the Queen in the North recognised for her insane amount of personal growth. Twitter seconds that.
Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister)
Tossing aside his "Hand of the Queen" badge was the ultimate mic drop moment. Could he win a fourth Emmy for his work on the show?
Alfie Allen (Theon Greyjoy)
While we did not get to see too much of Theon in the final season, the internet believes his time has come.
I SAY ‘ALFIE ALLEN’ YOU SAY ‘DESERVES AN EMMY’ pic.twitter.com/ycGDhmNqvM

Probably not worthy
Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister)
She has been nominated for… what exactly? Surely taking home $US1.2 million an episode for the final season is enough. Fun fact, that means Lena took home around $US48,000 for every minute she acted onscreen.
Kit Harrington (Jon Snow)
Enough said.
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister)
Honestly, we are still bitter about Jamie leaving Brienne like that.

Carice Van Houten (Melisandre)
Hey, as long as she doesn’t walk up to the stage like this if she wins...
