When Is “House Of Gucci” Coming Out in Australia?

The star-studded film is already garnering Oscar buzz and my eyeballs need to see it now.

As we’ve been slowly drip-fed the trailers this past year, I’ve been unable to stop thinking about Adam Driver in that cable knit sweater, not to mention Gaga’s 80’s hair-do.

We’re less than two months away from feasting our eyes upon this dramatic, aesthetic and very Italian extravaganza. Here’s everything you need to know about House Of Gucci.

When is House Of Gucci coming out in Australia?

The film is set for theatrical release in Australia on 1 January 2022.

It’s a bit of a delay compared to our US and UK friends, but I can’t think of a better way to usher in the New Year than watching some murderous fashionistas take to the silver screen.

What is House Of Gucci about?

The movie—directed by Ridley Scott—is based on the true story of Patrizia Reggiani (Lady Gaga), who was charged with the murder of her husband Maurizio Gucci (Adam Driver) in 1998. More on that crazy story here.

Depicting the heir of a famous Italian fashion house means lots of glitz, glamour and upper-class fraternising, so prepare yourself to leave the cinema feeling like a rich socialite.

Who stars in House Of Gucci?

We already know the power duo who are single-handedly supercharging the film.

Alongside Gaga and Driver, expect to be pointing at the screen and gasping with every second character that appears.

Suicide Squad star Jared Leto is starring as Gucci designer Paolo Gucci—but we won’t blame you for not recognizing him. He’ll be donned in an impressive face of prosthetics for the role.

The legend himself, Jeremy Irons (Lolita, Die Hard) is taking on the role of Maurizo’s father Rodolpho Gucci.

I, personally, am most excited about Al Pacino as Aldo Gucci. Somehow, he fits the role perfectly.

The characters in the film may not end up living "la dolce vita", but the film is sure to make our lives a lot sweeter when it’s released next year.

House Of Gucci is out in Australian cinemas on 1 January 2022.
